Combined Actors are producing the UK premier of a new comedy about internet dating by Jeremy Webb.  Jeremy was actively involved with Cambridge amateur theatre several years ago and is now a professional actor / diretor living in Canada. 

The play concerns the various travails of Paul Fisher as he trawls the internet dating scene to find a "Plus One" with whom to attend his ex wife's wedding which is in a weeks  time.  It is written as a two hander, with the female actor playing the eight different roles of Paul's "blind dates".   The main technical challenges will be the eight costumes needed for the female player, the lighting required to suggest different locations within the intimate surroundings  of the Playrooms, and, most challenging of all, the reproduction of the images from Paul's computer on a large screen so the audience can see what he is seeing.  Jeremy has agreed to let us have a disc with these images already pre-loaded and eventually incorporating photos of our cast. The challenge will be in arranging one or possibly two projection screens in the Playroom space and creating a network so that it will be alright on the night.
